To qualify, applicants must demonstrate their commitment to community organizing and leadership development that aims for long-lasting, systemic change; have a comprehensive understanding and practice against various forms of oppression; adopt intersectional approaches that address root causes of issues; be led by people most impacted by the issues they advocate for; and be actively fighting against systems of oppression, violence, and injustice.
