To enrich communities by investing in arts, science and history
The grant program seeks to fund projects, events, productions, festivals, and exhibitions that fulfill one or more of the following goals: enhance access to and engagement with arts, culture, history, or science; serve as a driving force for community development through creative and cultural initiatives; and highlight and elevate diverse cultures and perspectives. Eligible projects must be based in the arts, culture, science, or history sectors and take place in Lake, Orange, Osceola, or Seminole counties, being available to the public. Suitable initiatives can range from exhibits, performances, and festivals to arts education, outreach programs, and art-based community development activities. A key requirement is the involvement of professional artists in the planning and implementation phase of each project. For arts education initiatives, it is necessary for teachers to have an arts background. Additionally, social and human service organizations participating in the grant program must collaborate with professional artists and/or arts organizations.
