The grant program aims to promote the development of a diverse, interdisciplinary workforce capable of conducting translational research on Alzheimer's disease and Alzheimer's-related dementias. It supports institutional training programs for researchers at the predoctoral and postdoctoral levels from various educational backgrounds, including basic biology, translational and clinical research, and data science. The program encourages the development of interdisciplinary training programs that equip trainees with the necessary knowledge and skills in data science, disease biology, behavioral research, and both traditional and emerging drug discovery disciplines. This is with the goal of enabling rigorous and innovative basic, translational, and clinical research for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
