Overview

The Walter & Elise Haas Fund grants program supports projects and organizations in the Bay Area that focus on the Arts, Economic Well-being, Jewish Life, and Racial Justice. The broad goals of the grant program include ensuring access and creating opportunities for communities, innovating within program areas, fostering cross-program collaboration, and encouraging leadership and long-term sustainability in organizations. The grantmaking emphasizes deep community involvement, collaborative efforts to increase program impact, and the importance of feedback for continuous program evaluation and improvement. Although the application window for some programs is currently closed, opportunities for involvement and future grantmaking are evolving, notably in economic well-being, with a particular interest in policy and youth-led initiatives for 2024.
