    The mission of the funder is to support programs and initiatives that ensure people across Philadelphia and the region benefit from inclusive, diverse, and high-quality public spaces and arts and culture experiences. The Foundation focuses on fostering equitable access and participation in arts and culture, as well as in the creation and stewardship of community and public spaces.

    The "Creative Communities" grant program's broad goals are to enhance the role of arts, culture, and public spaces in community development. It aims to bridge the arts and culture accessibility gap and supports the creation and stewardship of community and public spaces in equitable ways. The specific strategies under this grant include:

    • Arts and Culture Hubs: Supporting organizations that provide equitable, inclusive arts and culture programs.
    • Arts Education and Exposure: Funding programs that offer culturally relevant arts learning experiences for youth.
    • Arts Presentation and Art Making: Aiding projects that promote equity in program design and reach diverse audiences.
    • Public Space Creation and Stewardship: Enhancing new and existing public spaces to ensure equitable access.
    • Equitable Economic Impacts: Promoting economic benefits from public and community spaces in equitable ways.

    The Foundation accepts Concept Inquiry Forms on a rolling basis and encourages submission 4-6 months before proposal due dates to align with the strategic goals of the Creative Communities program.
