Overview

The Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Program's Water/Energy Audit grant aims to encourage public agencies to independently examine their water and energy usage, identify areas of inefficiency, and devise a comprehensive plan for improvement. This audit can include both water and energy or focus on one specifically, but must pertain to projects, facilities, or activities eligible for CWSRF funding. Agencies have the option to use their own staff or hire consultants for the audit. The funding supports principal forgiveness for 100% of audit costs, up to $35,000.
