The Community Foundation funds nonprofits focusing on addressing Frederick County’s most pressing needs as identified in The Frederick County Human Needs Assessment Report, aiming to support the community effectively and responsively.
The grant focuses on supporting Frederick County nonprofit organizations with a shared vision of community improvement, dedicating at least $30,000 for this purpose. It targets programs within specific service areas including Peace Building & Conflict Resolution, Community Economic Development, Environmental Support, Water Sanitation & Hygiene, Disease Prevention & Treatment, Maternal & Child Health, Education & Literacy, and Service to Veterans.
Priority will be afforded to initiatives that benefit the ALICE demographic, address the financial or additional consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, or enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization or broader community.
