Jenkins Foundation Grant

From The Community Foundation for a Greater Richmond

The Community Foundation's mission is to make the Richmond region a better place with bold solutions and inspired philanthropy.

Type of Support

Overview

The Jenkins Foundation Grant supports initiatives that enhance community health and increase access to health care services for under-resourced communities. The grant program targets proposals focused on:

  • Filling community health service gaps.
  • Providing community-based health services and outreach.
  • Expanding access to health services in under-resourced areas.

Specific areas of interest include access to primary care (e.g., safety net clinics, dental care, case coordination), mental health care (e.g., counseling, education, residential treatment), and substance use disorder prevention and treatment. Additionally, the Foundation supports capacity-building efforts for organizations to improve their service delivery. While the grant typically offers up to $75,000 for projects, it also considers providing greater funding for a limited number of initiatives. Proposals outside the highlighted focus areas may also be considered.
