Accelerate breakthroughs in lifesaving research and empower people everywhere to conquer cancer.
The Medical Student Rotation for Underrepresented Populations (MSR) aims to support U.S. medical students from underrepresented populations in medicine (UIM) who have an interest in oncology. The grant provides financial backing for a minimum of 4-week clinical or clinical research rotations in oncology, accessible in diverse settings such as private practices, hospitals, or academic institutions. These rotations can focus on direct patient care or clinically oriented research. Each participant is paired with a mentor to guide them through their rotation and offer ongoing academic and career advice. Recipients are encouraged to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting for further learning and networking opportunities in the field of oncology.
