Type of Support

Overview

The grants provided by the Fairfield County Foundation are designed to support non-profit organizations in a wide range of sectors including Arts and Culture, Environment, Civic and Community, Health, Education, and Human Services. The grantmaking program includes Designated, Donor Advised, Agency Endowment, and Discretionary/Unrestricted funds. Although applications for Designated, Donor Advised, and Agency Endowment grants are not accepted as they are distributed according to donor recommendations, Discretionary Grants are open for application. These grants aim to preserve arts and cultural heritage, improve environmental conditions, support community efficiency and development, enhance access to quality health services, increase educational opportunities, and respond to basic human needs like food, shelter, and clothing. The Foundation’s Board of Trustees and staff annually review these programs to adjust funding priorities and address the evolving needs of Fairfield County.
