Type of Support

Overview

The Flowers for Dreams Foundation focuses on seasonal Cause Cycles to direct its largest grants, specifically through its Core Fund. These grants are designed to support charities in metropolitan areas where Flowers for Dreams has a physical presence, such as Chicago, Detroit, and Milwaukee. The grants are typically unrestricted, but a report is required one year post-award to detail the grant's usage and its community impact. Additionally, the Foundation manages a Response Fund, aimed at tackling urgent social, environmental, and community issues as they arise, with recent examples including support for COVID-19 frontline efforts, combating voter suppression, and promoting gun control. Grant applications are accepted throughout the year on an ongoing basis.
