To be a catalyst for promoting wellness and improving health in Cleveland County. Initially focused on supporting capital projects and equipment for Cleveland Memorial Hospital, the Foundation's mission evolved in 1995 to providing financial support for community disease and injury prevention activities and health maintenance programs.
The grant program's broad goals are to support initiatives that promote wellness and improve health within Cleveland County. It supports specific causes such as disease and injury prevention activities and health maintenance programs. The Foundation has undertaken various projects to support these causes, including wellness centers for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, labyrinths and gardens of peace, solariums, and courtesy trams for hospital visitors.
