Hind Foundation: Continuing Education Grant

The mission of the funder is to conserve and restore ecosystems, ensuring plant and wildlife can sustain and thrive; preserve historical landmarks to connect the past with the present and future; support music and visual arts for expression and cultural awareness; protect and conserve plants and wildlife, especially endangered species; and conserve land for future generations to enjoy. They achieve this by funding projects and programs in these specific areas, working with community-based organizations that share their goals.

The Continuing Education Grant program by the Hind Foundation is designed to enhance the efficiency and productivity of nonprofit organizations through the education of their staff, volunteers, board members, and key individuals. This initiative aims to have a greater impact on community development by supporting San Luis Obispo County nonprofits in various continuing education efforts, including registrations, memberships in nonprofit support organizations, seminars, lectures, literature, professional consultants, and training programs. This grant supports the belief that educated and informed nonprofit teams can more effectively serve and impact their communities.

  • Has not received a Hind Foundation Continuing Education Grant in the past two years nor applied in the past year
  • Educational project or program is based in San Luis Obispo County
  • Implementation of the grant will provide lasting benefits to the organization and community
  • Grant amount, with organization's support, will meet the project's or program's needs

Ineligibility

Recipients of a Hind Foundation Continuing Education Grant in the past two years
Applicants denied or who abandoned a grant application within the past year
Advocacy organizations involved in lawsuits, protests, or dissent
Organizations primarily funded by endowments or government grants
Seekers of funding for transportation costs
Individuals, endowments, fellowships, national/community/private foundations, nationally-based organizations, nonprofits or booster clubs for public schools, entities classified under three sections of the Internal Revenue Code, organizations based outside the United States.
