Group Health Foundation aims to shape and accelerate efforts toward improving health equity and advancing community aspirations for a vibrant, healthy future in Washington. Their focus is on supporting organizations and leaders working towards equity and racial justice, particularly those whose leadership reflects the communities they serve.
The grant program focuses on sponsorship of events and gatherings that serve as crucial opportunities for people to unify, particularly organizations and leaders dedicated to equity and racial justice. The grant supports in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including celebrations, staff and leadership retreats, professional development, strategic planning sessions, open houses, and fundraisers. Priority is given to organizations led by and serving marginalized groups, including Black, Indigenous, people of color, immigrants, refugees, queer and disability communities, and those from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. The program aims for these events to foster community connections, collective action, and advance equity and racial justice efforts. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with a requirement that they be received at least 60 days before the planned event.
