JFGNH: Grants for the Jewish Elderly

The Jewish Foundation's Women of Vision Society is dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in the Greater New Haven area and in Israel. Established by 100 founding members, its mission encompasses addressing issues such as domestic violence, health, acculturation, and spirituality. The society seeks to enhance, support, and sustain critical programming and services for women and girls, having distributed over $180,000 toward these causes since its inception.

The grant program focuses on improving and enhancing the lives of Jewish elderly individuals in the greater New Haven area. It aims to support programs and projects that:

  • Enhance the quality of life for these individuals;
  • Fund new and innovative projects specifically benefiting the Jewish elderly;
  • Encourage collaboration among Jewish organizations to maximize resources; and
  • Promote outreach to the Jewish elderly community.
