The mission of the Foundation is focused on assisting children in the greater San Antonio Area by addressing their basic needs (food, shelter, clothing) and supporting causes that affect children, including child abuse/neglect, developmental disabilities, education (from PreK through post-secondary), foster care, homelessness, mental health, medical treatment, substance abuse, and other charitable purposes related to children’s welfare.

Overview

The Foundation's grant program is dedicated to annually distributing at least 5% of its fair market value in assets to one or more Section 501(c)(3) organizations selected by its Selection Committee. The grants specifically support projects and organizations in the greater San Antonio Area that align with the Foundation's focus on providing aid to children. This includes a wide range of support areas from basic necessities like food, shelter, and clothing to complex issues such as education at all levels, child abuse/neglect, foster care, homelessness, mental health, medical treatment, and substance abuse. First-time applicants are required to initiate contact with their Grant Manager before applying and are subject to site visits.
