The National Endowment for the Humanities serves and strengthens our nation by supporting high-quality projects and programs in the humanities and by making the humanities available to all Americans.
The Landmarks of American History and Culture program aims to support a series of one-week workshops in various formats, including residential, virtual, and combined. These workshops are held across the nation and are designed to enhance the abilities of K-12 educators, higher education faculty, and humanities professionals in incorporating place-based approaches into humanities teaching and scholarship.
