We deliver conservation solutions so agricultural producers can protect natural resources and feed a growing world.
The Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) program aims to help agricultural producers manage financial risk by supporting practices in diversification, marketing, and natural resource conservation. It specifically targets initiatives such as improving water management or irrigation structures, planting trees for windbreaks or to enhance water quality, and adopting production diversification or resource conservation practices, including soil erosion control, integrated pest management, or transitioning to organic farming. Financial assistance covers up to 75 percent of the cost for installing these conservation practices, with a cap of $50,000 per participant for any fiscal year. Importantly, the program provides higher cost-share rates for historically underserved producers, making it a powerful tool for promoting environmental stewardship and operational sustainability in the agricultural sector.
