The Foundation views its grants not as mere donations, but as committed investments in local projects to advance objectives in health, education, and quality of life.

The grant program focuses on advancing the objectives and zones of interest: health, education, and quality of life. It supports nonprofit community organizations that have a positive impact on the Dothan area, looking for investments that yield measurable results within its focal areas. Specific causes supported include fostering economic growth to improve health and well-being, increasing school readiness and educational achievements, and enhancing the standard of living, including economic security, civic engagement, and promoting effective leadership and organizations.

  • Must serve the population within Houston, Henry, Dale, and Geneva counties, AL
  • In existence for two years or more
  • Request purpose must fit into one of the program areas funded by Wiregrass Foundation: Health, Education, Quality of Life
  • Not eligible: Churches, political organizations or causes, social welfare, individuals, ongoing operating expenses, start-up expenses, statewide or national projects
  • School systems may apply, but not individual schools
