The fund's mission is to seek and respond to requests for resources from partners committed to becoming actively anti-racist across various sectors, including education, the environment, health, the arts and social engagement, neighborhoods, and economic prosperity. They aim to dismantle barriers to equity and justice by working with donor partners and continuously assessing partnerships and operational methodologies to support systemic change.
The grant program supports projects that align with the grantmaking priority areas, aiming for systemic change by focusing on equity in education, health, neighborhoods, arts and cultural engagement, economic prosperity, and environmental justice. They prioritize equitable educational attainment, culturally effective health solutions, access to quality affordable housing, arts and cultural opportunities that advance equity, workforce development for sustainable living wage jobs, and environmental justice led by those most affected. The initial application process involves a pre-application followed by a potential full proposal and site visit, overseen by the Fund for Community Good Advisory Committee, which determines funding recommendations.
