Type of Support

Overview

The grant program seeks to enhance family well-being by promoting the healthy development of families with young children, focusing on preventative strategies, strengthening family dynamics, and responding to children and family needs. It emphasizes:

  • Promoting Behavioral Health Services: Addressing behavioral and mental health needs of pregnant women, mothers, new babies, and young children through strategic systems-building in various settings.
  • Promoting School Readiness: Ensuring access to services and resources for school readiness and healthy emotional development for families with young children, including developmental screening and early childhood education. Grants support general operating and project costs, favoring innovative approaches, new initiatives, long-term impact, and organizational sustainability. There’s a preference for investing in systems-building to strengthen fields, while capital and endowment grants are generally not awarded unless initiated by the Trustees.
