The Jane Bradley Pettit Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of residents in the Greater Milwaukee area. Focusing on serving low-income and disadvantaged individuals, including women, children, and the elderly, the Foundation supports charitable initiatives across arts and culture, community and social development, education, and health to foster inclusivity and opportunity.
The Jane Bradley Pettit Foundation Grant aims to support and sustain critical projects within the Greater Milwaukee community, placing emphasis on programs that benefit low-income and disadvantaged populations. The grant focuses on a wide range of initiatives across several critical areas:
Community & Social Development: Efforts include supporting early childhood development and aiding women and children in poverty. The Foundation values programs that encourage youth leadership, character building, and self-esteem.
Health: Priority is given to community-based healthcare and prevention programs focusing on the physical and mental well-being of families, children, at-risk individuals, and the elderly. Advocacy and support for abuse and neglect victims are key focus areas.
Education: The grant supports educational opportunities and initiatives aimed at enabling youth and adults to contribute positively to society. Special emphasis is placed on programs serving low-income and at-risk youth, aligning with emerging community needs.
Arts & Culture: Financial backing is provided for the operational costs of arts and cultural organizations that contribute to the guidance, individual, and social development of young people.
This grant change signifies a strategic shift toward operational and programmatic support over capital projects, including new buildings and expansions, effective January 1, 2024.
