We deliver conservation solutions so agricultural producers can protect natural resources and feed a growing world.
The Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) aims to support agricultural producers and landowners in enhancing their existing conservation efforts, thus improving their operations. It focuses on a wide range of goals such as improving grazing conditions, crop resiliency, and wildlife habitat development through custom-designed CSP plans. The program offers both technical and financial assistance to address natural resource concerns and elevate stewardship levels in an environmentally beneficial and cost-effective manner. CSP encourages the adoption and maintenance of conservation practices and activities that lead to benefits like cleaner water and air, healthier soil, better wildlife habitat, and enhanced resilience to weather and market volatility. It includes financial incentives for maintaining and implementing additional conservation activities, with contracts lasting five years and potential for renewal. CSP specifically addresses multiple resource concerns, such as degraded plant condition, pest pressure, inefficient energy use, and erosion, among others, making it the largest conservation program in the U.S. aimed at working lands.
