The Wildlife Conservation Board protects, restores and enhances California’s spectacular natural resources for wildlife and for the public’s use and enjoyment in partnership with conservation groups, government agencies and the people of California.
The Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Grant Program seeks to support projects that enhance climate adaptation and resilience, particularly on California's natural and working lands. It is guided by the principles of protecting and restoring ecosystems to bolster climate change adaptation and resilience for wildlife, assisting land managers in implementing adaptation and resilience practices, and increasing carbon sequestration. Projects funded by this grant are expected to align with the State’s climate adaptation strategy and contribute to achieving the goals of significant environmental legislation, while also providing additional social, economic, and environmental benefits or "co-benefits".
